Welcome!

Hello, I’m Destiny Brown! I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies from Valdosta State University, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in School Counseling.

Before stepping into this new role, I had the privilege of teaching first grade at Salter for the past two years. Those two years have allowed me to build meaningful relationships with our students, families, and staff, and I am so grateful for each of those experiences.

I am incredibly excited to begin this new chapter as the School Counselor at C.L. Salter! While my role may look a little different this year, my commitment to supporting, encouraging, and advocating for our students remains the same.

I look forward to continuing to support our students as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally, and I am excited to be a trusted person they can turn to when they need someone to listen, encourage them, or simply remind them of their potential.

I feel truly blessed to remain a part of the C.L. Salter family, and I can’t wait to see all of the amazing things this school year will bring! Here’s to a wonderful year of growth, connection, and success!
