School History

C. L Salter Elementary School was built in the eastern section of Talladega in 1959 with an initial enrollment of 136 students.  As years have passed, the enrollment grew and additions were added over four times.  C.L. Salter Elementary School, in the Talladega City School System has an approximate current enrollment of 276 students.

 

During the 2022-2022 school year C.L. Salter became a 1st-3rd Grade school under the leadership of Dr. Cynthia Watts. There are 7-1st; 7-2nd; and 7-3rd Grade classroom with more than 45 faculty and staff members.
